I've been involved in photography in one way or another since my early childhood: progressing from an early Instamatic camera to ever more sophisticated SLR systems as my finances and experience improved.

My experience with computers meant it was inevitable that I should investigate Digital photography, and the introduction of DSLR cameras made digital imaging a viable primary method for taking photographs. This was not driven so much by the lure of Photoshop but more by the fact that I didn't need to black out the room - a bonus with young, enthusiastic family members who were keen to see what was going on!

I have enjoyed the great advantage that I have been able to mix work with pleasure: my enthusiasm for photography and my skills as a professional teacher provided a broad base for both tuition and practical photography.

I still use my trusty Nikon D7500 DSLR with a few select lenses from Nikon and Sigma. I produce my own exhibition prints on Permajet papers using an Epson SC-P600 printer.

The real secret, however, is that I enjoy my work... :)
