I've been involved in photography in one way or another since my early childhood: progressing from an early Instamatic camera to ever more sophisticated SLR systems as my finances and experience improved.

My experience with computers meant it was inevitable that I should investigate Digital photography, and the introduction of DSLR cameras made digital imaging a viable primary method for taking photographs. This was not driven so much by the lure of Photoshop but more by the fact that I didn't need to black out the room - a bonus with young, enthusiastic family members who are keen to see what is going on!

I have the great advantage that I can mix work with pleasure: my enthusiasm for photography and my skills as a Science teacher provide a broad base for both tuition and practical photography.

Currently I use a Nikon D7100 DSLR with a variety of Nikon and Sigma lenses. I produce my own exhibition prints on Permajet paper using an Epson SC-P600 printer.

The real secret, however, is that I enjoy my work... :)
